I had a fantastic time at the IHR (In-House Recruitment) event held at the Business Design Centre! It was a day filled with valuable insights on talent acquisition trends and strategies to strengthen hiring manager relationships. Since its inception in 2009, the IHR community has empowered in-house recruiters across the UK with the tools and strategies needed for success.
Yesterday’s event was sponsored by Appcast, Inc., Neurosight, Pinpoint Applicant Tracking System, and Zinc. It was great to reconnect with many professionals from the recruitment space while attending insightful sessions. A couple of key highlights from the day included:
- Hung Lee’s Presentation on Talent Acquisition Mega Trends – An insightful session covering the challenges and opportunities that talent acquisition professionals will face in 2025.
- Improving Hiring Manager Relationships – A brilliant session led by Katie Padwick (Accenture), Oli Monks (Made Tech), and Harpreet Pannum (EY), who shared strategies for building stronger relationships with hiring managers and optimizing recruitment processes.
A big thank you to Mark Lennox for organizing the speed networking session. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet a variety of professionals, understand their business needs, and share my recruitment expertise.
I also want to give a special shout-out to IRIS Software Group for the swag bag! The mouse has already come in handy for my wife, and the earphones were perfect for my final training run ahead of the Ealing Half Marathon this weekend!
