Senior .NET Developer – Payment Processing Platform (UK) 
Location: Hybrid – 1‑2 days month london, very occasional travel

Salary: £80k -£110k based on experience 
Team: Core Project Team – UK‑based, Agile/Kanban

About the Role:
This is a role working for a really innovative fintech business on the cusp of greatness. The platform is used in the UK, USA, Australia, and other parts of the world, supporting secure, real-time payments and financial services. We are looking for professionals who thrive in a work-hard, play-hard environment and enjoy collaborating with a team that includes former consulting professionals from leading consultancies in the UK, USA, and Asia. This is a hands-on role for developers who love coding, designing scalable systems, and solving complex operational challenges.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain .NET Core 9/10 applications for high-volume, real-time payment systems.

• Work with Azure SQL (minimal Cosmos DB) to deliver reliable, scalable backend solutions.

• Design and implement API-based solutions for real-time money transfers, banking, and payment processing.

• Help automate and improve operational processes, reducing 3rd line support overhead.

• Contribute to new system designs enabling secure payment processing, saving account functionality, and Mastercard integration.

• Collaborate in a Kanban-based Agile environment – no rigid 2-week sprints.

• Assist with operational tickets and BAU tasks (~15% of role).

Skills & Experience:

• Strong C#/.NET Core experience (9/10).

• Experience with API-driven architectures and integrating backend systems.

• Experience with Azure SQL, Angular, or FS is a bonus.

• Deep understanding of real-time money transfers, payments, or banking systems.

• Practical, hands-on coder with a focus on delivering solutions.

• Agile/Kanban experience; comfortable with continuous delivery and task burn down.

• Familiarity with NDA, CRB/DBS checks, and compliance processes.

• Experience designing scalable, secure backend systems in a financial services environment.
