Are you ready to take your AWS data engineering expertise to the next level? A globally recognised Data & AI consultancy is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their growing Data & Analytics practice. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape scalable cloud-first data platforms for enterprise clients and guide a talented team of engineers to deliver mission-critical solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Architect & Build: Design and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and S3.

Lead & Mentor: Provide hands-on technical leadership to a team of Data Engineers, driving quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Collaborate & Translate: Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to turn complex business needs into actionable data architectures.

Improve & Innovate: Champion best practices in CI/CD, testing, automation, and DevOps within an Agile environment.

Document & Deliver: Produce clear, robust documentation, from architecture diagrams to data specs and test plans.
What You’ll Bring:
-
10+ years in data engineering/integration roles with AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda).

5–8 years of leadership or people management experience.

Consulting experience in client-facing delivery roles (highly desirable).

Advanced understanding of data modelling (Dimensional, Data Vault, ODS).

Proficiency in Agile delivery (Scrum), and tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control systems.
